On behalf of Welcome Home Collaborative, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the Christmas gifts the staff and students of Walnut Hills High School so generously provided for our participants this year.

Your kindness reached far beyond the wrapping paper.  Your gifts brought hope, dignity, and a sense of being remembered to individuals who often walk through the holidays without family or close support.

Many of our residents shared how deeply they were moved by your thoughtfulness. While we did not take photos out of respect for privacy, the exchange of gifts included big smiles, grateful tears, and expressions such as:

  • “I didn’t think anyone would think of me this Christmas,” male participant.

  • “This made my whole week. I get so cold on the bus and this jacket is perfect.  Thank you!” male participant.

  • “Please tell them thank you… this means more than they will ever know,” single mother participant.

For individuals in recovery or rebuilding their lives after trauma, acts of kindness like yours are not small gestures, they really are lifelines.  Your gifts helped restore joy and confidence at a time when many feel the weight of loneliness most intensely.

Thank you for choosing to stand with us in compassion and generosity.  As always, the Walnut Hills High School community continues to make meaningful impacts, and we are truly grateful for your partnership in bringing light and encouragement to those we serve.
