ABOUT

Who We Are

Welcome Home Collaborative is a Christian-based, 501c3 nonprofit organization (tax ID #27-450749), providing transitional housing and a life coach program for the homeless and working poor in the inner-city of Cincinnati.

We are a neighborhood outreach organization that believes that we are all God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10). And as such we all deserve a second chance. We currently serve 22 people at our 5 locations throughout Cincinnati.

Our Mission

Welcome Home Collaborative is a Christian organization, based out of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). Our Executive Director (Pastor John) is an ordained SMP pastor through the LCMS.

The first rule listed on the Welcome Home Collaborative program application is as follows:  “I agree to develop and implement a Life Plan with my Life Coach(s) that makes me more like Jesus Christ. The main focus of Welcome Home Collaborative is to transform people's lives. We realize that it is the Holy Spirit that does the transformation, and we are but jars of clay.

This process of becoming more like Jesus Christ is one of transformation, or sanctification. Philippians 1:6 teaches us, He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. When participants make an active commitment to this process, they are able to experience God’s transformative power while moving towards new steps and goals in their lives.

Finally, we also realize that Sanctification is different from Salvation. As Christians, we profess that we are saved by God's Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ.
