Welcome Home Collaborative’s programming is more than temporary relief. It includes affordable housing and a structured two-year curriculum, aiding program participants in establishing a personalized life plan while discovering a place of belonging and safety. Currently, five homes provide stable, safe, and supportive environments essential for the well-being of both individuals and children. Our work centers on empowering residents with practical resources, education, and hands-on projects that create lasting and positive change.

We are passionate about the neighborhoods in which our homes are located. Many families in Over The Rhine, West End and Northside struggle with food insecurity and a lack of access to fresh, nutritious produce. Economic hurdles make it difficult for people to choose healthy options, leading to health and nutrition concerns. With strong community spirit and two garden spaces, located in Northside and West End communities, we have a real opportunity to improve local food systems and strengthen neighborhood bonds.
We have completed the replanting of vegetables and herbs in both of our community gardens. This season we’ve added a few special request items, napa cabbage, spicy peppers and an array of florals for added beauty. About every two weeks, we'll deliver fresh produce to program participants, close neighbors and a local community partner - to support their efforts in fighting poverty and promote food sovereignty. Beyond the numbers, we'll foster food knowledge, nurture relationships, and inspire program participants through environmental education and community action.

Every step of this project, from planning to planting, involves input from volunteers and local partners. HUGE THANK YOU to all the volunteers and partners whose contributions turn gardens into vibrant fresh food sources, bring people together and create spaces that are rooted in community.
